The Getty Museum offers an online community of teachers and learners where you can engage in discussions and share lesson ideas and resources. This is offered as part of a broader educational resource section on the website. You can also browse programs and resources, search lesson plans and look for resources specifically for children or college students and professors.

Developed with the help of high school students, Red Studio at MoMA explores modern art and issues and questions related to today's working artists. It also provides a behing-the-scenes look at the museum itself. This website also includes art contests and fun online activities.

Free educational resources are offered by MoMA in the form of downloadable PDFs of guides for educators, along with text and images that can be printed, saved or projected. You can also browse images or search for lessons by subject and more. Use your email address to register for free on this website. The resources also include links to other resources available on the internet.

Rediscovering Ancient Art

From the earliest geometric patterns on ancient pottery to the classical figures of ancient statuary, artists continue to rely upon the lessons and examples of the past. By becoming familiar with classic symbols and methods, the artist expands and builds a rich vocabulary of visual language and technical knowledge that allow for the expression of virtually any scenario or concept, however abstract.
