Rediscovering Ancient Art
From the earliest geometric patterns on ancient pottery to the classical figures of ancient statuary, artists continue to rely upon the lessons and examples of the past. By becoming familiar with classic symbols and methods, the artist expands and builds a rich vocabulary of visual language and technical knowledge that allow for the expression of virtually any scenario or concept, however abstract.
